2022 MIDSTATE MOPARS CONFIRMED FOR JUNE

After a few COVID-19 roadbumps in the past couple of years, Midstate Mopars is back in 2022, with event hosts, the Central Victorian Chrysler Club Inc., confirming the 15th running of the event will be going ahead in Bendigo this coming Queen’s Birthday long weekend.

The 2022 edition of Midstate Mopars will follow a similar format to previous years, with the cruise on Saturday, 11 June and the Show ‘n’ Shine in Bendigo’s Town Hall precinct on Sunday, 12 June.

Hosted by the Central Victorian Chrysler Club Inc. and sponsored by national, state and local businesses, Midstate Mopars is not only supported by the Bendigo community, but gives back to that community, with funds raised from the event donated to organisations in the region.

All Mopars Welcome

A celebration of all things Mopar, Midstate Mopars showcases all types of Chrysler vehicles made in Australia, the US and Europe, as well as related Plymouth, Dodge, Imperial and DeSoto marques.

Additionally, the event welcomes Mopar-powered marques and those with a Mopar connection, like AMC/Rambler, English Hillmans, Japanese Galants and French Simcas and Centuras.

Midstate Mopars Cruise – Saturday, 11 June

The Saturday cruise for registered Midstate Mopar entrants leaves the Lake Weerona Rowing Club carpark at 1:00PM for a run of approximately half an hour to Heathcote, where participants can take in the town’s community market, go shopping at the retro and vintage stores, grab a bite to eat at the new bakery or partake in craft beer and wine tasting.

After a chance to refresh, refuel and unwind at Heathcote, the return route to Bendigo will also take approximately half an hour, with cruise entrants invited to gather at the All Seasons Bendigo for dinner and a live band (NOTE: The evening dinner is for cruise entrants only and limited to 100 places).

Midstate Mopars Show ‘n’ Shine – Sunday, 12 June

The Sunday Show ‘n Shine takes over several streets in central Bendigo around the Town Hall, with more than 300 cars, utes and other commercial vehicles on display, as well as thousands of spectators.

Vehicles enter from 8:00AM, with non-pro judging commencing at 10:00AM and trophy presentations at 2:00PM.

Along with multiple subcategories for US and Aussie Chryslers (Charger, AP5/6, CL/CM, B Body, E Body, etc.), there are also judging categories for pre-1948 vehicles, commercial, station wagon, competition car, unrestored, councillor’s choice and more.

The Swap Meet will be held in the same precinct, with multiple stallholders on site, offering all manner of spare parts, Mopar collectables, memorabilia and more.
