Smith 24 Stud Cylinder Heads with External Water Logs (1939 to 1948)Specifically designed for use on 1939 to 1948 Ford flathead V8 engines. Can also be used on 1949 to 1953 Ford 8BA flathead V8 engines with minor modifications. These Smith cylinder heads with detachable water logs have significantly greater water capacity than virtually any other stock or high performance cylinder heads ever manufactured. They are particularly effective in high temperature climates and/or high humidity conditions. Water is evenly distributed throughout the cylinder head to enhance cooling. Compression ratio: 8.25 to 1.
